We dance out in the summer from May to September, and on Boxing Day at the Wivenhoe Black Buoy (12.30). This Christmas we raised over £430 for a local children's charity - not bad eh? and the crowd is growing every year.

We dance Cotswold and a bit of Border. Our musicians play accordions, melodeons, concertinas and some purcussion. We've also been known to sing in the pub after the show, but only if the muse takes us.

We dance on Friday nights from 8.00pm at pubs around Colchester and surrounding villages, and a few in Suffolk.

We also enjoy the occasional day tour at the beginning and at the end of the season with the odd weekend thrown in.

The shows last for three quarters of an hour, or shorter shows when dancing 3 or 4 stops during the day.

We can be booked to dance for you for a fee (refreshments are acceptable too) the programme is usually set by February.

We're a lot younger and far more virile than we look but we're always happy to see new members especially if you've got legs like tree trunks, smile for the cameras and are reasonably fit (it's a lot harder than it looks to dance with the amount we drink).

If you're a musician looking for a challenge then that's good too (bagpipes don't count).

We practise during the winter on a Friday Night from 8.00pm in Colchester.

So if you see us, ask for details, most of us are quite polite.
